AviLicious Magazine Owner: Chachafance

What does AviLicious mean to you?
To me, AviLicious is an avatar that is too sexy for its own good. AviLicious is above average and overachieving. You see a great-looking avatar and you say, “Wow, that avatar is so beyond sexy that I can’t even come up with a word for it.” But now there is a word, and that word is AviLicious. I don’t know how else to put it; AviLicious is just beyond the best - that’s what we are.
Where did you get this idea?
I was actually forced to come up with a new name because IMVU didn’t want us to use “Glamour IMVU Magazine” because it had IMVU in it. So, I was trying to come up with something that was unique and had never been used before. I did searches on Google for names that could not be found. I wanted the name to have Avatar somewhere in it, but then I also wanted a word that meant sexy, divine, outstanding and diverse. Read the rest of this entry »
Do you like IMVU? Do you like animals? Well did you know that there’s a whole community of avatars on IMVU with animal-like characteristics? That’s right! And they’re better known on IMVU as furries. Many avatars have come up with their own “fursona” for themselves. And just like normal avatars, furries have the latest fashion and the hottest accessories made by the amazing furry developers on IMVU. And I had the pleasure of speaking to one of them.
Her name is QT3point14 and she’s an up-and-coming furry developer, as well as a furry. Her products first caught my eye with their uniqueness and array of colors. At that point, I knew that this was someone with amazing talent that I wanted to talk to. When speaking with her, she told me that she’s always had a love for animals and had her first fursona at the age of about 8 or 9.
She also told me that her favorite furry would have to be a wolf. She’s had her wolf fursona for 6-7 years as of now, and she loves them for the qualities that she has in common with them. QT3point4 said she loves their loyalty, love and care for their pack, how they can be both playful and serious, and their teamwork as well as leadership.

How did you come up with the name of Hot Mommas?
HM is a term that is used here in New York when a woman is referred to as beautiful. Regardless of her race, shape or attributes.
When did you start this group?
I began this group in March of 2008.
For those that don’t know, AviLicious Magazine used to be named Glamour IMVU Magazine.
Due to an unfortunate email from IMVU.com, we had to change the name of the magazine because IMVU.com didn’t want use to use “IMVU” in the name of the magazine.
So, Glamour IMVU Magazine (named by BabiiBunnie) is now AviLicious Magazine (named by ChaChaFance). Even though the name has changed, the magazine is still the same & was created by BabiiBunnie.
ChaCha: When did you first start Glamour IMVU Magazine?
BabiiBunnie: I first started the Glamour IMVU Magazine on August 21st ‘07 at 1:12 a.m. eastern!
ChaCha: Wow, you remember the exact time & everything! What made you decide to start Glamour IMVU Magazine?
BabiiBunnie: I started the Glamour IMVU Magazine because I thought it would give me something fun to do with my spare time. And I had a lot of it! But then I got a job and I became really busy in my real life, so I wasn’t able to put a lot of time into the Glamour IMVU Magazine. So I put it up for adoption, and you (ChaChaFance) took it over! And I must say you’re doing an outstanding job!
ChaCha: Thank you! Where did you come up with the name “Glamour IMVU Magazine”?
BabiiBunnie: I came up with the magazine title “Glamour” from searching on Google actually! It was a pretty hard search because a lot of names were already taken. But after searching for a few minutes I thought of the song “Glamourous” by Fergie, and that is what I named the magazine after.
ChaCha: Can you give me some details on how the magazine worked? I want to know more about how you managed it, how well it did, where it was located (website), did you have a big or small staff, what kind of material did you have in it, etc.
BabiiBunnie: Well I must say, it wasn’t an easy task! I struggled with keeping it up all the time, always trying to get new staff! It was a never-ending process. It didn’t really end up going as well as I had planned. It was located at http://imvuglamour.moonfruit.com/ and the forum was located at the IMVU Groups, which you (ChaChaFance) use now! The staff was kind of at a medium size. We had about 10-15 people, but not all of them were loyal to the magazine. The materials I used in the magazine were mainly fill-in forms for applications and assignments!
ChaCha: What made you decide to hand over the magazine to someone else?
BabiiBunnie: I decided to hand over the magazine because it was too much for me. I did have a lot of free time in the beginning but then I got a job, and my real life became way too busy. I really never had time anymore to keep up with the magazine.
ChaCha: Wow, that must have been hard for you. What made you decide to hand it over to me?
BabiiBunnie: The reason I handed it over to you was because when I read over your application, I thought it was very good. You had a layout site, and I felt you were going to be able to run it very well and get a lot of people who would be dedicated to work for you!
ChaCha: How do you think the magazine has progressed since handing it over to me?
BabiiBunnie: It has gotten bigger, and better! Outstanding job ChaCha!
ChaCha: Thank you again! Are you happy with your decision to hand it over to me and how do you feel about the magazine now?
BabiiBunnie: I’m very happy that I handed the magazine over to you! I feel a lot better knowing that my magazine didn’t have to go down the tube when I started to slack. It went on to new and better things!
ChaCha: I’m glad that you feel that way! Thank you BabiiBunnie for that short and quick history. I’m glad that I could live up to and exceed your expectations and I promise I won’t let you down!
