To most people stress is a bad thing, as it can lead to a lot of frustration. There are many things that can trigger stress, but don’t worry! There are ways to prevent you tearing your hair out at the roots from too much stress.
First of all, work is one of the most common areas of stress. The boss is pressuring you to get this done, then that, and it all seems like too much to handle. All you have to do is relax and schedule out your assignments in order to get them completed on time. Remember to take breaks in between; go for a walk or have your favorite snack.
Suprisingly, to some people, boredom is a trigger of stress. Are all your friends busy? No one to hang out with? Simple solution: make a list of all the things that you would like to do and go out there and do them. Don’t let slight boredom keep you down. There are billions of things that you can do to cure it, you just have to put the effort in to find them because everyone has different interests and hobbies.
Stress related to relationship problems are also very common triggers of stress, whether it be with your partner or your friends. Just remember to let yourself have your own opinion, but bear in mind that your partner/friend has an opinion too, and be sure to respect it. If you know that you’re wrong but don’t want to admit it, swallow your pride and apologize. It’s the only way to prevent from losing them. Also, as much as you might want to tell your side of the story, let them tell theirs and be a good listener - everyone likes a good listener. Also plan what you’re going to say and stick to it. Don’t start shouting and ignoring what they have to say, but listen to them and they’ll listen to you.

Overall, there are loads of different causes of stress, but it’s not always a bad thing. It’s a little alert inside your head that says you need to get something done, and it just gets overloaded sometimes. If you’re very stressed, get some help, because it’s no use going through it on your own. Remember to treat yourself, take short breaks and have a few minutes to yourself, and you’ll be back together in no time at all.
