Are You Twittering Yet? If Not, You’re “Out of the Loop!”

If you haven’t heard, there’s a site called Twitter and it’s taking over the Internet! All of the techy people, web geeks and Internet addicts have already become addicted to it and when you join, I’m sure you will too!

Twitter is a micro-blogging site. What is a micro-blog? Well, it’s like a blog but instead of really long posts, you have to make very short posts. There are a lot of micro-blogging sites out right now but Twitter is the biggest one by far. With Twitter, you can only make a post that is 140 characters or less.

Twitter is very easy to use. It’s like an IM; the only difference is that it’s public, so everyone can see what you’re talking about. You can follow people and people can follow you. You can also respond to other people’s posts by adding >> @THEIRUSERNAME << before your post! You can even send direct (private) messages by adding >> d THEIRUSERNAME << before your post.
