How did you come up with the name of Hot Mommas?

HM is a term that is used here in New York when a woman is referred to as beautiful. Regardless of her race, shape or attributes.

When did you start this group?

I began this group in March of 2008.

What are some strategies you are using to make your group alive and kickin’?

There’s really no strategy to it. All my HM members have a great connection with one another. It’s just something that happened with each and every one of us. Each month we have two big contests, plus about two or three, “Yo, Momma Mini-contests” a month. And we have activities and events posted for ALL members to participate on a regular basis.

Do you have any rules and regulations? What are they, if any?

Oh yes, there are house rules.

Invite Only, must be 18 & Over Only!
*No Drama . . . {Seriously, its only the internet}
*No Spamming . . . {I’ll cut you off the group so fast your Avi head will spin!}
*Respect Other Members! . . . {Etiquette, people . . . etiquette}
Members who use profanity, x-rated material, spam, disrespect towards myself or any other member, steal other members Avi pictures or tutorials posted in this group and use them as their own, whether in this site or in another group . . . will be excommunicated from this group. Also, any member spying for another group will be excommunicated from this one.
The Officers and myself, the Owner . . . have “Zero Tolerance” for any of the above-mentioned.

If you have a problem with another member, talk it out! We are grown-folks in here. You, both, or whoever, take it to your HP’s if its going to get nasty.

If you have a question, PM me on my HP if you feel its a private issue, or post your need in the “The Help Center” thread. Either myself, one of the Officers or another member will help you.

These are my rules for HM. What would society be like if there weren’t any rules?

How do you maintain communication with your officers and members?

Communication with my HM Officers is done through either HM Headquarters or PM’s. Right now, we just started through the 3D clients and in emails. We get to cover more issues and plans this way.

Do you have any rules stating that you will delete the inactive members? Why?

But of course. Why carry DW’s (dead-weights) and have an inactive group? There is no way! No group will expand this way. You will end up with an extremely boring group, which just sits there in limbo. Also, you end up not focused on what needs to be done in the group. You’re too busy sending reminders to DW’s, which they aren’t going to respond to anyway. If you’re going to join any group, you must be active in posts, and in any events or activities that are required. HM is a title to be earned. It’s not there so the HM logo can just look cute on your HP, especially if you haven’t even posted an introduction. Basically, HM is an elite group by invite only.

What are the activities in your group that make and keep your members interested?

I have open topics that they can relate to on a day-to-day basis. The members all connect in one way or another. They have built this friendship amongst themselves that’s impeccable.

How well are they participating in your group? Is it because of the contest or teamwork?

Members are participating very well. There are times that I cannot keep up with posts. It’s more teamwork than anything else. There’s better communication in the group than ever before.

Do you think Hot Mommas group will stay active?  What is the different about this group compared to other groups?

HM is going to be an active group for many years to come, there is no doubt about that. The difference is that here in HM, we are as a family and not many groups are this way. I want to create a group that is unique in its own way and that is different from everyone else’s. A group that really stands out by not only its name, but also its integrity. I don’t expect to have the Top Group here on IMVU, but know that here, in this group, we can do positive things not only for ourselves, but for those who surround us. I’m just saying that, yes, we are Hot Mommas, the Hottest Chickas in IMVU, there’s no doubt!  But, we’re also Ladies of Class, Integrity and Role Models.

Can you give us advice on how to maintain an active group and active members?

Hmmm, you have to be honest. I know it’s the internet and people can be so full of it. But, just be yourself. Honesty is the best policy! Also, organization is a must! You have to be organized in setting activities or events. You wouldn’t want chaos amongst your members with dates and materials. Keeping a notebook just for your group is also a must; log everything. I know it sounds crazy, but it comes in handy. Also, hands down, stick to your guns when it comes to the house rules or policy. Once you let one thing slide, it’s an open door towards disaster. Then you’ll have issues as to whether you’re favoring so and so. Next thing you know, or when you least expect it, your group has fallen apart. Be poised and show etiquette when addressing an issue, especially when an unexpected situation arises. No one wants to be in a group where the owner is just plain disgusting to deal with. These are my basics for maintaining a group. Hope that helps . . . lol.
